-Healthy Spaces and Learning Minds Project: providing support for struggling independent child care centers: renovating pre-schools as healthy environments for children and workers. Helping pre-school teachers with education and everyday programs of nutrition, medical, dental, hygiene, and motor skills.
-Tiny Tummies Project: providing toddlers with immune building, daily nutrition and promoting a healthy start to their lives.
-Swimming Program: allows children the chance to learn basic swimming skills and water safety practices.
-Safe Space Creativity Workshop: medical adherence program and support group, training people to have new skills in arts and crafts while also generating small incomes for their families.
-Project Collars: an animal rescue program, providing food and medical care for animals, while teaching people how to care for their pets.
-Project Crayons: teaching creativity and motor skills to children through arts and crafts.
-Project Sporty Kids: ensuring physical exercise and outdoor experience while learning the importance of working as a team. This also includes eco-leadership for kids.
So many children and families experience extreme poverty within the communities where Project COLORS works very hard to provide aid. They do not have proper access to basic necessities of life, such as nutrition, running water, medical/dental care, electricity...However, locals in the communities are working very hard to change this and are achieving great things!
COLORS works in partnership with the pre-schools and other independent, community based projects. It means so much to COLORS to see the smiles on the children’s and their teachers faces when we can provide their pre-schools with a proper floor or roof, furniture to sit on, daily nutrition, medical and dental programs...the reward we feel is endless as the projects prosper.
COLORS helps informal settlement communities to achieve their goals through training and guidance while bringing necessary aid and funding to their existing projects.
